A big hello to all you guys, new to forums so bear with me!
I've had 3 vec C's, first was the Sri with the z22yh, then the 2.0 DTI for commuting, now I work down the road I've bought a cheap 2.2 petrol z22se as I really like the cars and to be fair there good engine's. And nice looking cars. I'll post a pic soon, it's a lovely dark graphite grey, and standard ready for tampering

Hi Guys my 2.2 has the P1112 fault code & won't even turnover, I was out at the time & the emissions light came on while driving but the car seemed ok, but when I went to start the return journey I turned the ignition on & nothing wouldn't turnover & the EML & the emissions lights stayed on I still had all electrics & there was no clicking when turning over. when the recovery truck turned up the chap plugged it in & that was the only code coming up.
So what I want to know guys roughly how...

Car wont start after putting manifold back in. Starter motor doesnt seem to be kicking in and i think i hear sparking/tapping. Fuel is getting to the rail but opcom showing "fuel pump relay - inactive" ??? Opcom is showing no fault codes but here are the screen shots. radio wont accept code

Change the battery over today was not bothered about the radio as having the code on the car pass, so while waiting outside her indoor,s work place, thought I would enter the code in the right procedure,,,comes up got 10 goes, enters the 4 digit code pressed the a/s or the ap button cant remember just now but was the right button, held it in till it beeped ,nothing ,down to 9 goes, goes through it all again pressed the button , beeped ,nothin,now down to 8 goes, so this is where I stopped...

Hey does anyone know if this has been done? Wanting to incorporate variable valve timing on the z22se. I understand the 2.4 comes in both a direct injection and port injected VVT versions in the USA. Was thinking to use the vvt head with port injection on a z22se then swap over the 2.4 ecu and/or wring loom to control it????

How's the troops getting on.

I have a little dilemma with reg plate light the spade part has broken off the strip pictured i was wondering does anyone know if you can buy these parts by their self. Or is it a whole new fitting. Scrapyards are getting a little shy of vectra b's now.

The outside lens is the same for Astra F , G Zafira etc. But the internal fittings are a little different. Off of the other cars the plastic holders are shorter, so they would not sit the same behind the reg...

p0420 on decat (surprise surprise) and seafoam!

Hi all,

Got an Astra G convertible with the pre-cat and main catalyst removed from the original pipe. Showing p0420 (catalytic converter efficiency low) and my CO emissions are 0.49% (0.29% over the 0.2% MOT limit) when my oil temp is at 12 degrees (I know I know, but I didn't do the test). I also have a slightly split flexi which is blowing a bit, but given it has no cat I'm assuming the car can't be detecting that. Hydrocarbons are fine, 59ppm, well under the 200ppm limit....

Well the time came to finally buy myself a decent car instead of bombing around in cheap s**tters :pmsl:
All though my last work bomber was a £100 Calibra 16v cost me £40 in bits to get it through an MOT and i've had a years hassle free motoring out of it only having to replace a CV joint and a couple of gaitors so not bad at all :nod:
